Warner Bros. 'Godzilla' sequel gets June 2018 release date

Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures announced that 'Godzilla' will return to movie screens with a sequel to be released June 18, 2018.

This year’s director of Godzilla, Gareth Edwards will return to direct the sequel, Variety writes starring Bryan Cranston.

On its opening night, Godzilla arrived in theaters May 16, setting a record for 2014 by earning $38.5 million. The film went on to earn a total on that opening weekend of $93.2 million.
